How Stress Manifests in Our Bodies

Last week we learned all about stress and how it affects our mind, body, emotions and our well-being. We talked about the importance of listening to our bodies because it will often tell us something is off and that we are stressed before we "know" we are experiencing stress.


By listening and respecting what our body is saying means we can take steps to try and calm before we become overwhelmed or "shut down" from too much stress. From here, we will be exploring and introducing different ways to de-stress and calm so that students find what works for them.


These grade 6's are SO intuned with their bodies and are incredibly self-aware, check out all the ways stress shows up in their bodies or what stress feels like to them:
