Science Experiments: Electricity!

What is electricity and how does it work?! So far this unit we have been discussing static electricity, insulators, conductors and simple circuits - including a series circuit and a parallel circuit. Students are exploring our first science unit through hands on, inquiry based science experiments. Today students were given all the necessary materials to create their own simple circuits. They deepened their knowledge and understanding of how a circuit works by constructing and deconstructing a variety of circuits (i.e. What happens if I add a switch? What will happen if there are three lights on the same circuit? etc.) We had a blast.
