For our unit on Space students have been investigating our Solar System and learning about the planets, their characteristics and what it would require to live in space. Here students are creating a poster of the Solar System with the size of each planet to scale. For example, Mercury can be compared to the size of a pea, whereas the Sun would be the size of a full sized golf cart! Next we will be exploring the distance between planets by making a to scale display in our hallways!
