Curriculum Connection: Letter Writing

This week students will be independently writing a friendly letter to a Canadian school of their choice. The letters will be addressed to a gr.6 class within the school they choose. Along with their letter there will be a letter from me, to the classroom teacher, explaining the race and encouraging the class to participate.

When complete, all letters will be sent out on the same day (to ensure a fair start to the game) and the first to receive a response back, wins! It really makes for an exciting year as the letters roll in, and who doesn't love to receive surprise mail?! Let the games begin!

**The letters will be sent to St. Gabe and no personal information will be shared in the letter.
